Special cottages for two are always sought after, and School Cottage is no exception. It is delightfully situated in Newbiggin-in-Bishopdale, and was at one time the village school with its tall stone mullioned windows upstairs. These fill the cottage with light, and ensure that you can make the most of the fabulous views over open countryside to both the front and back of the cottage. This is a cosy, romantic retreat with a sense of luxury in a beautiful location.
School Cottage is in the secluded village of Newbiggin in Bishopdale, one of the three villages in the dale along with Thoralby and West Burton, both only a mile or two away. The Street Head Inn is only a short walk, in our view one of the best pubs for food in the area, and there are more pubs, shops and galleries in the other two villages.
With this cottage you have the best of all worlds-a gem of a cottage in a tranquil village location yet surrounded by breathtaking scenery and walks from the door, with one of the best food pubs in the Dales only a few minutes walk away. What more could you want?
