There has been a cottage called Faith Hill on this same site since the 1700’s, so that the cottage and the road at this point both have the same name. Faith Hill is owned by and adjoins the working village farm, Town Head, and the owners supply the local area with milk, eggs and cream, so you will never run short of these during your stay!
Faith Hill is a deceptively spacious and comfortable detached cottage only a short stroll from the village centre with its pubs, restaurant, village shops and deli/bakery. Keen walkers can make the most of the walk straight out of the door and up the hill, onto Askrigg Moor and Swaledale beyond, or you can choose low level rambles down to the River Ure about 10 minutes walk away across the stone flagged paths through the meadows that are such a feature of this area. Alternatively you can just make the most of life in this lovely cottage, and simply enjoy this thriving village.
